Hailing from Cartagena, Colombia, Jhosy has been making waves by blending Afrobeat grooves with Latin rhythms, creating a fresh, emotional sound that resonates across cultures. “OBVIO” is an Afro-pop ballad filled with vulnerability, inspired by the red string of fate theory, capturing the moment of acceptance when a relationship reaches its end—even when the feelings remain.
Jhosy explains:
“This is an emotional confession. Writing it was a way of healing and accepting that sometimes, even if you love someone, they’re not meant to stay.”
The track, produced by Joe On The Beat, officially dropped today (May 23, 2025) and is available on all digital platforms. Fans got a sneak peek when Jhosy debuted the song live on May 8 at BIME Bogotá, one of the most important industry stages in Ibero-America.
